Arthur Delaney ( 1927-1987 ) Acknowledged Northern Artist specialising in the Manchester of his childhood in the 1930’s. Born, brought up and worked in the Manchester area all his life, eventually gaining widespread recognition for his paintings of traditional Northern street scenes and industrial landscapes. Set in the 1970’s, ‘The Old United’ depicts the Old Trafford of the pre-modern football era. | |
