World Spirit has designed and researched travel itineraries to the destinations selected, and approved accommodation of a mid-range international standard. Where appropriate, where there is important cultural content to impart, group arrangements will be offered.  The itineraries are cost effective, logistically tight but also spacious - allowing body and soul to relax into the cultures visited.

If you are interested, the first thing to do is to contact us and discuss your plans. Upon receipt of a confirmed flight reservation, we will activate the itinerary and reserve accommodation for you.  At the same time, a £20 deposit (non-refundable) will need to be placed.  Whereas the starting date and the number of days can be varied to suit your requirements, nevertheless the sequence of destinations in the itinerary should be followed.

You book and pay for your own flights, and pay for accommodation, food and transfers on site on a direct cost basis - there are no hidden charges or commissions.

Each itinerary will have a Standard Change of £20-£50 (inc deposit) depending on the complexity of the itinerary.  Additional persons on the same itinerary incur 50% of Standard Charge. (top of page)

  MEMBERSHIP

Upon payment of a deposit for any travel programme or workshop, you will automatically become a member of World Spirit.

As the travel programmes and workshops are intended to be permanent, the nature of the relationship with clients will be participatory and responsible, as distinct from commercial relations based on exchange. (top of page)

  WHERE TO GO?

Week after week we are all continually assailed by a bewildering amount of travel options put out by the increasing demands of an ever-expanding tourist industry.

The World Spirit programme cuts through all this razzmatazz and offers travel to a fixed menu of destinations (10-12 max) selected on the basis of being of the highest cultural spiritual and natural importance.

World Spirit will develop expertise at delivering the maximum possible economic and spiritual value in the service of members who travel to these specific destinations. Any member may participate independently or collectively in any or all of these programmes. (top of page)

  WHEN TO GO?

World Spirit will only advise members to travel to destinations at times when they can generally expect reasonable or good weather.

The costs of high season travelling premiums will be defrayed by both the negotiating powers of World Spirit and by early booking of flights and accommodation, applying deadlines for services where appropriate. (top of page)

  FOR WHOM?

The World Spirit programme is designed for independently minded travelers genuinely interested in world culture, and is open to all adults and children accompanied by adults.

For independent travelers, many of whom lead extremely busy working lives, World Spirit will save you the time and effort in choosing destinations and in researching and booking itineraries.

For collective/social travelers, group arrangements will be discreet and well organised, though informal and spacious, with all participants being free to move in and out of ongoing group arrangements as they wish.

World Spirit will strive to ensure that the difference in cost between independent and social travel will be minimal. (top of page)

  FLIGHTS

We take the view that the emerging international flight market is so fluid, and client requirements are so varied, that flight arrangements are best arranged on an individual basis.  Where appropriate, we may propose better or more cost effective routings, and may advise you to contact friendly/responsible flight organisations, registered with ABTA and ATOL.

As there are no significant savings to be made by group bookings. Any advantages that there are, we feel are outweighed by the benefits of choosing one's own flight schedule.

The membership nature of the relationship, and the sharing of flight information and costs, should be most beneficial to participants in this area.

In all cases, clients are responsible for settling their own flight accounts.(top of page)

  TRAVELLING ON SITE

Independent travelers will be fully briefed on the various means of travel between destinations on the itinerary. In some cases, internal flights will need to be booked before departure.

All schedules will be 'logistically tight' and will endeavor to make all interconnecting transits as considerate as possible within an overall schedule.

Group travelling arrangements on-site will be similarly organised, being payable either at the end of the tour or on-site, as appropriate. Courier charges, may be prepaid before departure as a separate item.

In addition, various tours may support performing arts events. (top of page)

  ACCOMMODATION

Upon receipt of confirmation of the details of your flight reservation, World Spirit will reserve your accommodation based on the established sequence of destinations.

If you wish to stay longer in an area and visit other destinations, you will be responsible for making these onward arrangements, though where possible World Spirit will advise you of the generally recognised best options. Accommodation will be mid-range to 'standard international'.

World Spirit will process the accommodation requirements, obtain negotiated benefits and confirm the reservations with you.

You will be responsible for settling your hotel account on site. (top of page)

  BACK UP SERVICES

Your itinerary will be monitored by designated World Spirit staff, who will be 'on call' by fax, mobile phone and email while your journey is progressing.

Emergency medical and communication facilities for each destination will be made known to you before commencing your journey.

All travelers must confirm their travel insurance arrangements at the time of booking. (top of page)
