| The wisdom of our human world is not confined to the arts, the sciences, the faiths or the cultures. During many hundreds of years of separation from each other, the different cultures of the world developed radically different health systems, different ways of looking at and healing the human being. With a knowledge based multicultural approach, the Energy Medicine sessions examine these health systems, to see how they might fit into the modern 21st century lifestyle, how they might contribute to everyday wellbeing. All participants will come away with a head full of ideas, from core beliefs to common sense tips that become part of one’s health practice for the rest of the year and beyond. |

| Energy healing
is a non-invasive form of alternative medicine, a healing technique to correct energy imbalance in the human body by activating the natural healing resources present within and thereby addressing any physical, mental or behavioural problems. It targets the energy fields around the body with simple techniques based on the meridians and
chakras. “Energy Medicine awakens energies that bring resilience, joy, and enthusiasm to your life – and greater vitality to your body, mind, and spirit ! Balancing your energies balances your body’s chemistry, regulates your hormones, helps you feel better, and helps you think better”. ( Donna Eden ) Energy can stagnate in the body where there has been physical injury or possibly emotional pain. In time these energy blocks can cause various diseases. Energy medicine routines are easy to learn and you can share simple techniques with your family or friends to enhance their wellbeing. “Conventional medicine, at its foundation, focuses on the biochemistry of cells, tissue, and organs. Energy Medicine, at its foundation, focuses on the energy fields of the body that organize and control the growth and repair of cells, tissue, and organs. Changing impaired energy patterns may be the most efficient, least invasive way to improve the vitality of organs, cells, and psyche.” ( David Feinstein ) |

| With daily yoga, chi qong and the enquiry into the various Energy Medicines, the shakti, the boundless energy within, should begin to spark into life. Veda’ means knowledge, the knowledge of our own inner nature. Ayurveda itself means knowledge of a healthy life, part of the wider Vedic system underpinning Indian spiritual culture. |

| General Information : Getting there : It is a 3 stage process : Flight - Taxi Transfer - Boat Transfer As we have always said in our publicity, it is well worth the extra effort in getting there.. Fly direct to Chania, Crete. As all our itineraries are accessible internationally, we do not quote for flights. Flights : – without an excruciatingly early start and also arriving by the evening, thereby avoiding an overnight stopover, we are proposing a specific easyjet flight schedule : Sat Oct 03 : Gatwick 10.50 – Chania 16.50 Sat Oct 10 : Chania 17.35 – Gatwick 19.40 The convenience of this flight schedule is well worth paying the extra few pounds, compared with other flights. We occasionally advise on when to purchase flights, though this is a dark art with as much a chance of loss as gain. Flight + Transfer : Transfer costs from the aiport on the North Coast to the port of Sfakia / Chora Sfakion on the south Coast should be added to the flight cost. Gains from a cheaper flight can be wiped out by more expensive transfers. Taxi sharing is the way round this and/or overnight in Chania and take the bus to Sfakia. Accommodation – We Reserve / You Pay - Espirita makes the reservations and clients pay their own hotel bills on check out and/or check in depending on hotel methods of payment. Clients pay for and manage their rooms on site on an independent traveller basis. Personal Medical Decisions : All clients must seek relevant professional medical advice and decide what is best for their health. Insurance - All Espirita clients are advised to be fully insured, with comprehensive medical policies that cover transfer to first class medical facilities and emergency repatriation Food – E30-E40 per day. The Phoenix Taverna and café have limited food options, with a more varied cuisine available at the numerous eating places in Loutro Climate – Weather in October is 75% hot and sunny with hights of 24-28C with occasional cloud and an outside change of a little rain. Cooler in the evenings. Communications – Mobile phones work along the coast with locally variable wifi conditions. The semi-remoteness of the area means that if the signal goes down, it can take 2-3 days to restore online connections. |
