| AXIOMS: | By participating
independently or collectively in a travel programme to worldwide destinations of
outstanding spiritual, cultural and natural importance, that can be realistically
completed within 5-10 years. It is inconsistent with the concept of spiritual travel that individuals supplying the services generate, directly or indirectly, large personal fortunes. All profits from running World Spirit will go towards supporting international human relief organisations and conservation projects in the areas visited. To formalise this objective, World Spirit will apply to obtain charitable status within the first 3-5 years of its operations. If the application is refused, it will adopt other measures to achieve the same objective. In all other respects, the organisation will be run on an efficient commercial basis. The costs of travel programmes will be explicit, transparent, moderately or competitively priced, and fully under the control of participants. Approved accommodation will be good value mid range, or standard international, subject to unavoidable local variations. The growth in membership will be controlled to ensure the efficient running of the organisation at all times. The language of World Spirit will be English. |
